Adjusting the Intensity of the Inada Sogno Massage Chair

Inada Sogno Intensity Adjustments The Inada Sogno massage chair is the most popular massage chair that we have seen come into the market. It is rich with features, not to mention the fact that it covers over 1200 sq. inches of your body with massage. The next closest chair to the Inada Sogno with regards to massage coverage is the Panasonic 30007, which has approximately 450 sq. in. coverage.

Most people love the Inada Sogno right away, but there are a few folks who say it is too gentle. The default setting of the rollers is designed to make everyone happy, without roughing up more sensitive users too much.

What most of the people don't know is that there are a few ways to adjust the intensity to make it more intense. I'll review those methods here.

Inada Sogno Roller Adjustment

1. The Inada Sogno comes with a 3-D roller system. The 3-D alludes to 3 dimensions, the x, y, and z axes. All massage chairs have rollers that roll up and down and side to side. The up and down motion is along the x-axis dimension (don't get too freaked out with the physics stuff...it is pretty simple, really). The side to side motion is along the y-axis dimension. But very few chairs roll also from front to back, which is considered the z-axis dimension. This is what the Inada Sogno 3-D feature is all about.

On the remote control you can push the "+" button or "-" button to increase or decrease the z-axis massage motion, respectively. So, if the massage is not intense enough for you, then push the "+" button and you will actually feel your chest being pushed out forward more. You can even see your chest moving forward.

If the intensity is too much, then naturally press the "-" button to pull the rollers back along the z-axis and, thus, decrease the intensity.

This is the easiest way to change intensity. If you still want more intensity, the next suggestion will work wonders for you.

2. The cervical traction device (or headpiece) is attached to a back pad that extends from the bottom of the device down to the low back. You can lift this entire section up and out of the way. It actually can button into the top of the chair back. Or you can just flop it over the back of the chair.

Once the cervical traction device and attached back pad are up and out of the way, the only thing that stands between your back and the Inada Sogno rollers is some fairly thin material (synthetic leather in the low back, linen cloth in the upper back and neck area). Turning on the rollers now will give you a very intense massage.

Now, if you use the 3-D "+" button again you will experience an even MORE intense massage. As a matter of fact, users of the chair say that when the cervical traction device and attached back pad are out of the way and the 3-D roller are up all the way, it is the most intense massage they've ever felt in a massage chair. That says a lot, because there are a number of intense massage systems out there.

Inada Sogno Airbag Adjustment

3. The Inada Sogno massage chair comes with a lot of airbags (100 to be exact). Those airbags can be quite intense when they compress your arms or legs or thighs. Sometimes it is just too much to handle for some users. Inada has a very simple way of adjusting the airbag intensity. Each airbag has a Low, Medium, and High setting which is easily changed with the remote control. The airbag compression intensity can be adjusted one area at a time or the whole airbag system can be adjusted at once.

So, there you have it...a few easy ways to make the massage experience as intense or gently as you want in the Inada Sogno Dreamwave massage chair.
